About Me

Hey! My name is Jacob, and I'm a Computer Science student at Royal Holloway University of London, currently interning at IBM UK as a Software Engineering Intern. I am passionate about many fields in Computer Science, with my main interests being in back-end and full-stack systems, and occasionally video game projects. I've completed many projects in my own time, both solo and with teams. I love to attend Hackathons, and as the President of the Royal Holloway Computing Society I even lead the organisation of my University's annual Hackathon event, Royal Hackaway v9.

Experience

2024 - Present
IBM UK - Software Engineering Intern
During my year-long internship at IBM, I took on a role in DevOps for IBM MQ. I gained extensive experience writing full-stack software in NodeJS, and delivered several large features to our in-house DevOps tooling. This also involved working with our internal Kubernetes cluster, automated CI/CD pipelines and build scripting.
